eng: You're here. Present.
“Você está aqui. Presente.” is a manifest for the nowness. The project is a conceptual and formal exploration that invites the passerby for a brief experience of living in the present time. It takes shape as a series of artistic urban interventions on outdoor media surfaces that, metaphorically, shifts its advertisement of future desires to the reflections of the present. Five poster layouts, screen-printed on mirrored surfaces, were developed to create distinct self-reflecting experiences. Each of the poster carry a part of the authorial manifest written to instigate the ideas of the nowness, whilst the full manifest is distributed for free in nearby newsstands as an accordion booklet.

The poster layouts screen-printed on mirrored surfaces were designed with the protagonism of the human body in mind. The 114cm X 173cm arts had to be thought out in a way that would create shapes working over and around the passerby’s body according to the intention of each fragment of the manifest. The result was a series of geometric shapes with dotted halftone gradients printed in white, creating a blur-like effect over the mirror reflection. The idea for the manifest booklet was to create a reading experience that would allow the reader to have access to the whole text simultaneously, thus the accordion format. Intended for a free distribution and a cost aware production, the booklet is printed on newsprint paper and enveloped with a small sleeve that keeps
its folded format.

"May we understand that the future is present and
that we ought to decide to live in in. Focusing on the details of the greater picture, may we dive in the present moment. Immerse in this space,
may we maintain ourselves liquid. Even though we're aware that
none of this matters, may we keep ourselves in this absurd,
living in it whilst questioning existence."
